About Me

I’m reviving this blog to hold myself accountable. Losing weight is a journey, a project. It’s a part of a healthy lifestyle. I intend to use this blog as a tool for motivating myself and for helping keep my focus on my project of getting healthy. I hope to have some fun with it too, since losing weight is a difficult process.

I live a pretty ordinary life with my husband, our golden retriever and two cats.

My Tickers

I use myfitnesspal to track calories.

I like the fun tickers they have at TickerFactory. A dream of mine is to be able to run. I chose this ticker as a reminder of the dream I am working towards.

  1. Hello! It looks like you’re doing great with your weight loss. I still have a long way to go with mine, but each day gets me a bit closer. I love your hiking posts. I live in WV and there are so many beautiful places to hike. Hopefully, once the weather is warmer, I’ll be able to visit some of those places! 🙂 (If the weather ever gets warmer–this appears to be an endless winter! LOL)
I’m going to have to check out the weight loss tickers. Very neat! 🙂

  3. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am enjoying my visit to yours. Keep up the good work on that weight loss. You have made impressive progress. Remember getting control of your weight starts in the mind not the body. When you get your health and weight loss priorities straight, you will not give in to temptation to eat foolishly because it ‘tastes so good.’

  4. Hi, Cynthia. Thanks for stopping by my blog again and liking the GMO post. I was surprised to see that you hadn’t posted since December’s Ugly Sweater Run. I hope you haven’t lost your momentum on your weight-loss and health-gain efforts. Remember, it is a marathon, not a sprint. If you have slowed down you can speed up again. Good luck!
